Junior football team looking the part as donation funds new strip

A JUNIOR football team in Rugby is celebrating after netting funding for new kit.

Hillmorton Juniors u12 Dragons received £650 from homebuilder Hayfield, which has kitted out the whole team in a new football strip.

Dragons coach Neil Noakes applied for the funding to Hayfield, where he is a commercial manager.

He said: “Times are tricky for many people at the moment, and our club is funded entirely through subscriptions, donations and fundraising – we don’t receive any money from the FA.

“This very generous donation from Hayfield has allowed us to invest in new kit for the whole squad so that they look their absolute best when they run out onto the pitch and can focus on developing their skills and enjoying the game.”

Hillmorton Football Club was founded in 1969 and boasts 46 teams, with players ranging in age from four to adult. The u12 Dragons are currently riding high in their Mid Warwickshire league.
