Kenilworth carjacker hit delivery driver with his own van

A CARJACKER drove into a deliveryman with his own van in Kenilworth.

The robbery took place in Moorlands Avenue on Friday September 1 at around 6:30pm.

A car, believed to be a green or silver Vauxhall Astra, followed the van until it stopped to make a delivery.

The van driver left his keys inside. One of the car’s occupants got into the van and drove off.

As the vehicle reversed down the road at high speed, the delivery driver gave chase but was knocked over by his van, suffering minor injuries.

The van was later found abandoned outside Kenilworth Cricket Club.

Witnesses to the hijack are asked to call 101 referencing incident 386 of September 1.
