HEROIN worth over £125,000 has been seized by police as part of an investigation sparked by a reported beak-in.

Officers stopped Gareth Curtis, 21, in the Hillmorton area of Rugby after responding to the report from a local resident at 8pm on Wednesday August 11.

He was arrested when the officers found he was carrying a number of ‘street deals’ of the class A drug.

During the investigation, police recovered over a kilo of heroin.

At the conclusion of the investigation by Rugby Proactive CID, Curtis was charged with possession of heroin with intent to supply. He was bailed to appear before Warwickshire Magistrates Court in Leamington Spa tomorrow (Friday November 27).

The public can provide police with information about the production, use and supply of illegal drugs and associated criminal acts by contacting the 101 non-emergency number.
