A LANDMARK has been passed in one of the biggest ever projects by a Rugby construction firm which will bring up to 100 new jobs to the town.

Stepnell has completed the first phase of a new £8million business park in the town, which will eventually include a brand new head office for the 151-year-old family-owned firm.

The 85,000 sq ft Stepnell Park comprises ten new industrial, warehouse or trade counter buildings on ten acres of land off Lawford Road.

The development will also enable the 151-year-old family-owned firm, whose HQ has been based at Lawford Road since 1965, to create a new head office.

Edward Wakeford, property director at Stepnell, said: “Stepnell Park is a landmark development for both the company and the area as a whole.

“The redevelopment will bring new investment and commercial opportunities to the area and will also provide up to 100 new jobs for the West Midlands.

“We are committed to investing in our local area and we are thrilled this fantastic scheme will also act as a brand new head office for the company.”

The company said it had already received interest from potential occupiers.
