LIFE-saving equipment has been installed at the heart of Rugby’s new neighbourhood.
A defibrillator has been installed in Houlton, near The Tuning Fork restaurant, The Barn community space, and the Visitor Centre.
The defibrillator, donated by the site’s master developers Urban&Civic, is registered with the Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the West Midlands Ambulance Services and has been added on to the National Defibrillator Database.
Johanne Thomas of Urban&Civic said: “We are delighted to be able to donate this life-saving kit to the community. Houlton is already home to over a hundred families and boasts a host of facilities open to the public – all of which attract some 150 visitors a day to Houlton.
“The defibrillator will serve Houlton for many years to come.”
Rugby’s First Responders will host training sessions on how to use the defibrillator at The Barn at 11am on Sunday April 28, Sunday July 7, Sunday September 22 and Sunday November 17.
