Literature comes to life for pupils on World Book Day

LITERATURE came to life at a primary school in Rugby on World Book Day.

Storyteller Mark Fraser took pupils at Bilton C of E Junior School on a journey beyond the pages of various stories to help promote the joy of reading.

He showed them how storytelling has allowed tales to survive and evolve over thousands of years across the world.

The school’s Head Rebecca Ross said: “Witnessing the joy on the children’s faces as Mark shared his captivating stories was truly delightful.

“The enchantment woven through the words was refreshing and succeeded in capturing the imaginations of everyone present.”

Mark said: “It was a great privilege to be able to share these wonderful stories with the pupils. It always amazes me that children will engage, create and be enraptured by storytelling.”

The storytelling event was organised by Barratt Homes.
