Local Election: Conservatives boost majority at Rugby Borough Council

RUGBY Borough Council remains under Conservative control after the party boosted its majority in the Local Elections.

Conservative Wayne Rabin took a seat from Labour’s Kieren Brown in the Newbold and Brownsover Ward.

The ruling Tory group now controls 25 of the Borough’s 42 divisions.

The Liberal Democrats stay on nine seats, with Labour now down to eight.
