THE HEATWAVE may have ended, but it didn’t stop Rugbeians from enjoying some summertime fun when a beach sprang up in the unlikely location of Rugby Town Centre.
Families came along to Market Place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (August 16, 17 and 18) to relax and play.
Parents sat back in deck chairs while their children got busy in the sand with buckets and spades.
It was part of a programme of summertime events during the school holidays organised by Rugby Borough Council, which included an outdoor cinema in Caldecott Park.
The next event will see The Big Yellow Bus Street Circus come to Market Place on Wednesday (August 24) from 10am to 4pm.
