RUGBEIANS have been paying their respects to the Queen.

Residents have been invited to lay floral tributes in a designated area of Caldecott Park, near the main Evreux Way entrance.

Tributes included a message from Mayor Carolyn Watson-Merret, on behalf of the citizens of the Borough of Rugby.

Residents can also leave messages in Books of Condolence in the Benn Hall, Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, and Rainsbrook Crematorium. Car Parking in Rugby Borough Council car parks will be free of charge to those coming in to sign Books of Condolence.

St Andrew’s Church is also inviting residents to sign its Book of Condolence and light a candle in memory of the Queen.

There are also digital Books of Condolence for those preferring to leave a message online. Visit www.royal.uk/send-message-condolence or www.warwickshire.gov.uk/bookofcondolence to leave a tribute.
