THE CANAL world descended on Crick last weekend for the 2018 Crick Boat Show and Waterways Festival.
The annual festival claims to be the canal world’s biggest marketplace, where 300 exhibitors showcased the inland waterways industry. It featured dozens of boats to look around, free boat trips, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee, and food and drink stalls.
The music stage was headlined by the UK’s top Abba tribute band, Abba Revival, who performed accurate renditions of the Swedish group’s hits including Waterloo, Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia complete with faithful choreography and authentic costumes. Support was provided by Thin Lizzy tribute act Dizzy Lizzy alongside another 13 bands across the three show days.
