A STATUE in Dunchurch is suitably attired this week.
To mark VE Day the statue of Lord John Douglas Montagu Scott has been dressed as a Second World World War soldier in honour of those who served.
Complete with gun, tin helmet, flask, belt and rucksack he is ready for action thanks to the efforts of the Dunchurch Festival Group.
VE Day celebrations in the village will continue with a party in The Square on Saturday featuring a variety of entertainment, historical displays and vintage vehicles, together with food stalls.
