Lyn wins award for eco-friendly business

AN ECO-friendly Warwickshire woman whose small business is convincing people to be kinder to the planet has won a national award.

Lyn Lapworth, founder of Eco for All, has received a Woman Who Achieves Award to recognise her achievements.

Shortlisted from hundreds of entries from across the UK, Lyn received her award after impressing the judges with her passion for living the eco-friendly life, and how she teaches others to do the same on her courses.

Lyn, who was raised and schooled in Rugby, has been nominated for multiple awards – including the Ladies First awards, which take place in June – and been asked to deliver talks at the Clean and Tidy Home Show and the Ideal Home Show in London.

She was given the Woman Who Achieves Award at a ceremony at Coombe Abbey Hotel.

Lyn said: “I’ve spent years learning how to live a more sustainable and eco-friendly life, so turning this into a business seemed like a natural next step.

“During my teenage years, I was faced with some hard truths about everyday products and unethical activities that harm our planet, and it was a revelation that changed the course of my life.

“I’m a wife and a mum to two young children, and they inspire me to live better every day.

“I’m raising them to appreciate and respect Mother Nature, to understand that where things come from and where they end up really matters. I want my children to know I did everything in my power to reduce our impact on this planet to protect their future.

“Reducing our impact on the planet is my absolute mission and starting Eco for All felt like a very natural next step in spreading the word further.

“I’m now on a mission to show people that being eco-friendly in their day-to-day lives is easier and more affordable than they realise.”

Now in its ninth year, the Woman Who Achieves Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in business throughout the UK.

Founder Sandra Garlick MBE set up the awards to create more women in business role models to inspire others.

She said: “Lyn embodies everything within her business and speaks with true purpose.

“This Woman Who Recognition Award embodies her passion to make the world a better place for future generations by educating other to live a little more sustainably.”
