A MAN has been arrested after drugs believed to be heroin were seized when police spotted a suspected drug deal taking place in Rugby.
Officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were on patrol on Claremont Road shortly after midday on Monday.
The suspected class A drug was seized and officers searched a nearby address where an amount of what was also thought to be heroin and other drug-related paraphernalia were recovered.
A 38-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
