Man arrested after drugs thought to be heroin seized in Rugby

A MAN has been arrested after drugs believed to be heroin were seized when police spotted a suspected drug deal taking place in Rugby.

Officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were on patrol on Claremont Road shortly after midday on Monday.

The suspected class A drug was seized and officers searched a nearby address where an amount of what was also thought to be heroin and other drug-related paraphernalia were recovered.

A 38-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He has been released under investigation pending further inquiries.




Anyone with any information concerning suspected drug dealing in the area is urged to report it on the Warwickshire Police website or by calling 101.
