Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following alleged assault in Rugby

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an alleged assault in Rugby this morning (Sunday May 5).

At 3.19am, police were called to a report of an assault in Trussell Way.

A man was allegedly attacked with a bladed weapon, before the offender reportedly made off from the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital.




A 23-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of attempt murder.

Police said there was no wider risk to the public.
