A MAN was allegedly threatened by another man wielding a hammer at Rugby Railway Station yesterday morning (Tuesday February 9).
A 32-year-old man from Coventry was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and common assault.
He has been charged with common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public space.
He was also charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker after he allegedly assaulted two police officers while in custody.
The man is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
