A MAN has been charged in connection with a motorbike robbery in Rugby on Saturday evening (May 14) during which the victim was reportedly stabbed.
Daniel Spence, 32, of Edward Street, Nuneaton has been charged with robbery, section 18 wounding, possession of a knife, possession of MDMA and possession of cannabis.
Spence was arrested after police were called to Bilton Road near the junction with Dunster Close following reports a man had been stabbed and had his motorbike stolen.
Spence was due to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday May 17).
Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information which could help with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident 360 of May 14. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
