A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with rape following an incident in Harborough Magna near Rugby on Thursday February 7.
Glenroy Barnes, of no fixed abode but residing in Rugby, appeared at Leamington Spa Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (February 9) where he was charged with one count of rape on a female aged over 16, a sexual assault on a female aged over 13, and criminal damage.
He has also been charged with six counts of assault on police officers.
Mr Barnes has been remanded in custody and will appear at Warwick Crown Court on March 14.
