Man dies following collision between car and lorry on A5 near Rugby

A MAN has died following a collision between a car and a lorry on the A5 near Rugby.

The man in his 30s, who was in the car, was declared dead at the scene.

The collision occurred at around 1.10pm today (Monday March 6) between the M6 flyover and the junction with the A426.

Specialist officers have been deployed to support the man’s family.




At 3.20pm today, police said the road was likely to remain closed for some time.

Warwickshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision to get in touch to help their investigation.


Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area in the moments before the collision took place.
