A FATAL car crash near Willoughby claimed the life of a man in his 30s yesterday (Tuesday July 25).
Two vehicles collided in Longdown Lane between Dunchurch and Daventry at around 2.40pm.
Police officers reported having cause to speak to the man shortly before the collision. The details of this contact and the collision are currently subject to investigation.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), as is normal for death following police contact.
