A RUGBY man found dead at the school where he worked took his own life, an inquest has heard.

Clive Anthony Julian Moore, 58, was found dead at Avon Valley School on Tuesday January 29.

He had worked as the school’s site manager for five years.

An inquest at Warwickshire Justice Centre heard how a school caretaker found Mr Moore’s body and a suicide note at around 5.30am.

Senior Coroner Sean McGovern concluded that Mr Moore died by suicide.

On the day Mr Moore’s body was found, the school’s head teacher Alison Davies said: “This is a huge shock for our entire school community and our thoughts and prayers go to our colleague’s family and friends at this very sad time.

“The school will be actively offering emotional support to staff and pupils who have been affected by the tragic incident in the days and weeks ahead.”
