Man taken to hospital after being attacked at home by burglars

A MAN had to be taken to hospital after being attacked by burglars in his Kenilworth home.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was threatened and attacked in the flat on Webster Avenue by four of five suspects at around 12.45am yesterday morning (July 16).

The group demanded money before leaving with his wallet and car.

The man suffered serious face injuries and was rushed to hospital.




Det con Abi Robinson said: “This was a terrifying attack that has resulted in facial injuries to the victim.

“I would like to reassure the public that attacks of this nature are a rare occurrence. We have launched a thorough investigation and would like to hear from anyone who was in the surrounding area at the time of the incident or may have seen anyone acting suspiciously.”
