Hammer-wielding robbers strike at Rugby store

MASKED robbers wielding a hammer and baton stole cash from a store in Rugby.

Officers are investigating the robbery which happened at Tesco in Main Street, Bilton, at around 5.30am this morning (Wednesday).

Three armed men wearing balaclavas confronted staff before stealing the cash and fleeing.

Det ins Cindy Stephenson said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the staff who have been left badly shaken.




“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area this morning to contact us.”
