Masked robbers strike at Lutterworth shop

MASKED robbers stole money from the till of a Lutterworth shop in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday October 6).

Three men went into the Leicester Road shop, which is attached to a car garage, between 2.30am and 2.45am.

A member of staff was forced into a staff-only area and money was taken from the till.

All three men, who had their faces covered, left on foot but may have got into a vehicle parked nearby.

The victim suffered a minor injury to his hand.

Investigating officer PC Ben Leaning said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who may have been driving in the area of Leicester Road in the early hours of the morning. Did you see anyone leave or enter the shop? Did you see or notice anything suspicious or untoward?

“Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help my investigation.”
