A MOTORCYCLIST died after a collision between Clifton and Hillmorton on Monday (October 21).
At around 2.35pm, a Lexmoto motorbike was heading towards Hillmorton from Clifton in Hillmorton Lane when the driver is believed to have come off the bike close to the bridge over the Oxford Canal, resulting in the empty bike travelling into the path of a BMW.
The rider, a man in his 30s, suffered fatal injuries. His next of kin has been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
The driver of the BMW was not injured.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, has dashcam footage, or who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 232 of October 22.
