Motorcyclist rode at police officers

Rugby Editorial 6th May, 2020   0

A MOTORCYCLIST rode at police officers after being challenged by them.

Police have released images of two motorcyclists they want to speak to following the incident around 1.40pm on Sunday (May 3).

Two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) from Rugby’s Safer Neighbourhood Team were conducting cycle patrols on Brandon Lane.

The PCSOs challenged two off-road motorcyclists on private land prompting one of the riders to steer at both officers, hitting one of their push bikes.

The motorcyclists sped off and joined the Coventry Eastern Bypass towards the Tollbar roundabout.

The PCSOs were uninjured.

Anyone who recognises the motorcyclists, the bikes or has information that could help with enquiries is urged to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 23/18511/20.
