Motorists advised of road closures for Sunday’s Bikefest

ROADS and car parks in Rugby town centre will be closed on Sunday (May 21) for the annual Rugby Bikefest.

The following roads will be closed to vehicles from 4am to 8:30pm: Evreux Way, North Street, Chestnut Fields, Church Street, Regent Street, Henry Street, Bank Street, Albert Street, Regent Place, Gas Street, Sheep Street, High Street, Dukes Jetty and Little Church Street.

Car parks at the Town Hall, North Street and Old Market Place will also be closed during this period.

Any vehicles left in these areas overnight will be removed.




A spokesperson said: “To avoid inconvenience, we kindly request all vehicle owners to ensure that their cars are relocated before the specified road closure times.

“The road closures will create a safe and enjoyable environment for participants and attendees to fully immerse themselves in the festivities.”

The Bikefest, which runs from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday (May 21), will open with the traditional ride-in.

Attractions include the Extreme Bike Battle stunt show, live music on stages in Market Place and Church Street, over 40 stalls and displays, food stalls, and family entertainment.
