FIVE people were injured in a multi-vehicle pile up near the Catthorpe Interchange.
West Midlands Ambulance service was called to the A14 outside Catthorpe at around 8.50am this morning where five cars and two lorries had collided.
Two ambulance crews and support from the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire arrived at the scene to tend to the injured.
A man driving a red Volvo had been pulled free by members of the public before being sent to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire to treat pain and cuts to his face.
Another man with shoulder, back and neck injuries and a woman with back pain were both taken to the same hospital .
Two other men who were both ‘walking wounded’ casualties were taken to Kettering General Hospital.
