NEIGHBOURS in Rugby were celebrating this weekend after landing a lottery windfall.
Two residents of Sedge Road won £1,000 each when their postcode was announced as a daily prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Saturday (June 20).
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “What a fantastic surprise to get on the weekend! I’m sure it made their day and I hope they enjoy their winnings.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of People’s Postcode Lottery ticket sales goes directly to charities. It has raised over £500million for good causes to date.
The draw was promoted by Save the Children, which has received over £8.9million in funding from People’s Postcode Lottery.
Local charities can next apply for funding in August.
