New business makes impression in chalk

A NEW home interiors shop in the town centre is bringing sought-after decorative paint to the town.

Izzy Loops Home Interiors is the latest business to open in Rugby town centre, following its relocation from Fargo Village in Coventry.

Located on Regent Street, the furniture, homeware and giftware store is the only place in Rugby to stock Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, a rustic-style decorative paint only available in select independent stores.

The new business sells one-off pieces of furniture, restored with the chalk paint – and also offer a commission service to restore customers’ furniture to order.

Owner Izzy Smith said: “Annie Sloan only stocks small independent shops and we are the only stockist in Rugby and the surrounding area.

“Rugby First have been brilliant in making us feel welcome in the town. The Rangers, Retail Radio provision and CCTV are also great from a security perspective, in addition to the social media support they have provided.”

Aftab Gaffar, Managing Director of Rugby First, said: “New businesses continue to open and invest in the town centre which is excellent news for customers and the local economy.

“The interior of the shop looks amazing and I think Izzy Loops is a really attractive addition to the town centre.”
