'No cause too small' as Community Fund opens to applications

A COMMUNITY fund to support deserving local groups is open to applications.

Housebuilder Redrow Midlands, which is currently building homes at Houlton, is offering shares of its £7,500 Community Fund to support local groups, organisations and individuals.

Since the initiative’s launch in 2021, it has funded gardening equipment to help pupils at Abbots Farm Junior School and Houlton School grow their own plants and vegetables, and paid for camping equipment to allow the 1st Houlton Guides to explore and learn more about nature.

Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “Following the success of last year’s community fund, which saw us donate £5,000 to all manner of deserving groups, we knew we had to bring it back bigger and better this year – which is why we’re offering our biggest fund yet.

“We’d like to invite local organisations and charities to share their stories with us and let us know how we can help.

“There’s no cause too small, so whether funds are required for books or art supplies to help school children learn and get creative, a mental wellbeing charity looking to train more volunteers, or an animal shelter in need of some treats and toys, Redrow Midlands’ initiative can help.”

The fund is now open and will close at 11:59pm on Friday September 22. Visit www.redrow.co.uk/promo/midlands-community-fund to apply.
