BUDDING mechanics at Rugby College are appealing for unwanted vehicles to help them hone their skills.
Students at the college need a range of vehicles to help get them on the road to becoming fully-qualified mechanics.
The college’s Motor Vehicle Department wants Rugbeians’ old cars and vans – particularly any unusual makes or models – for practical training to help get students up to speed.
Motor vehicles course manager Mike Wakeleigh-Jones said: ““The car manufacturing industry is diversifying and the range of vehicles is widening, so it is vital that students have access to a variety of cars to familiarise themselves with all aspects of the trade, develop their skills and broaden their knowledge.
“Perhaps there is a car that’s been sitting on the drive for a while, or a vehicle that’s failed its MOT. By donating your unwanted vehicles to Rugby College, you will be helping our students on their way to becoming fully-fledged vehicle technicians.”
Vehicles can be donated directly to the college or can be collected if not roadworthy.
