TWO men have been remanded in custody having been formally charged with the murder of Jordon Banton.
Darell Akins, aged 28, of Follager Road, Rugby, and Paul Clarke, aged 34, of Bluebell Close, Rugby, will appear in court on Thursday, October 9, accused of shooting Mr Banton near Newton on Friday July 25.
A 27-year-old male arrested on Tuesday July 29 has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
An inquest into Mr Banton’s death was formally opened last Friday (August 1) by Assistant Coroner for Warwickshire Mr Zafar Siddique at Warwickshire Justice Centre in Leamington. No date has yet been announced for the inquest to be heard.
