PARAMEDIC Keith Thrower has been given a long service award in recognition of 50 years of saving lives.
Mr Thrower, who is based at Lutterworth Ambulance Station, was one of a number of staff honoured at the East Midlands Ambulance Service’s annual
Values and Recognition Award ceremony.
Awards were presented to those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and others who have worked in the service for more than 20 years.
Chief Executive Sue Noyes said: “I hear examples every day of the amazing work our staff and volunteers do, and it is brilliant to have an opportunity to thank those staff and recognise their achievements.
“These people are there at the most distressing and challenging time in a person’s life, and to provide a friendly face as well as a life-saving emergency service.”
