A SUSPECTED rapist from Rugby is wanted by police for breaching his bail conditions.

Ransford Buabeng, 31, was charged last November with the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

He attended Warwick Crown Court earlier this month where he was given specific court bail conditions and was due to reattend court in November.

It is now believed he breached these conditions and police are urgently looking for him.

He is believed to have links to London and Essex, and has been known to use false documentation in the past so may be using a different name.

Detective Sergeant Ollie Deakin from Warwickshire Police said: “Mr Buabeng has been charged with a very serious offence.

“He is thought to be a flight risk and warnings have been put in place at ports and airports to ensure he does not escape the country and we are asking anyone who may have seen him to contact us.

“He is described as a black man, 5’7″ inches tall of a slim build. He has brown eyes with short black shaven hair, and speaks with a Ghanaian accent.”

Call Warwickshire Police on 101 with information.
