Police investigate modern slavery and human trafficking allegations

POLICE have arrested a man from Rugby following an investigation into modern slavery and human trafficking allegations.

Warrants were executed at a house in Abbey Street and a hand car wash in the town before police arrested the 33-year-old on suspicion of human trafficking yesterday (Wednesday November 28).

Three alleged victims have been identified and measures have been put in place to safeguard them.

The investigations are ongoing.
