MOTORISTS in Rugby have been warned to be careful where they park, after police seized a number of cars during a crackdown on nuisance vehicles.
Alongside Warwickshire County Council Civil Enforcement and Rugby Borough Council Environmental Protection staff, officers from Rugby Town North took to the streets of Benn Ward following a rise in complaints of nuisance and abandoned vehicles.
Among the 50 vehicles checked, nine were seized – with seven traffic offence reports issued, and eight penalty notice charges issued.
A Rugby Police spokesperson said: “Parking is at an all time premium in this particular area, so if you are going to park make sure your vehicle is parked considerately and legally.”
