POLICE are investigating a robbery where two men broke into a home in Cawston.

It is reported the two men forced their way into a home on Polo Drive in the Cawston area of Rugby at around 7.15pm on Tuesday November 8.

The pair – both described as white, large build and around six feet tall – threatened the owners and demanded to know where their valuables were kept. Both men were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.

Police are reporting no one was injured in the incident and officers are working to support the victims.

Detective Sergeant Alistair Knight said: “I would like to reassure the local community that this is an isolated incident and there is no evidence to suggest that this is part of an ongoing series. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal for information and ask anyone who has any further information to contact police.

“A wallet, which was stolen from the address, was recovered by a member of public on the A45. I urge that individual to come forward to police because you could hold vital information that could assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 313 of November 8.
