Police warn public to be alert to signs of modern slavery

MODERN slavery is taking place in cannabis farms hidden across Warwickshire.

Warwickshire Police is warning the public that cannabis grows which are frequently set up by organised criminal gangs are being operated by people forced into slavery.

Det Sgt Paul Vines of the force’s Trafficking and Exploitation team has produced a video to explain more about the links between modern slavery and cannabis farms in Warwickshire.

Anyone who suspects there is slavery taking place in their area is asked to report it to police as soon as possible.
