Post Office proposes to move New Bilton branch half a mile from current location

A POST Office in New Bilton could be relocated around half a mile away.

The Post Office is proposing to relocate its Bridget Street branch to the Premier shop at the AA petrol station in Lawford Road, around eight minutes’ walk away.

The proposed newly-named Lawford Road branch would be open for 34 hours a week longer than the current shop, providing products and services from a Post Office counter alongside the retail till in the store.

The opening hours for the branch would be 8am-7:30pm on Monday to Friday, 9am-7:30pm on Saturday, and 11am-4pm on Sunday.

The consultation on the move will close on June 30.
