PROUD staff, pupils and parents at a Rugby primary school have welcomed its latest ‘good’ Ofsted rating.
Rugby Free Primary School maintained the rating after inspectors gave positive feedback about the school.
Their report found that ‘pupils are proud to be part of this school’, and praised initiatives such as the school parliament for giving them a voice. Pupils also stated their teachers were their ‘favourite thing about school’.
Ofsted also noted the school’s ‘high expectations on pupils’ learning’ and that staff were trained ‘exceptionally well’.
Rebecca Butters, Headteacher of the school since 2018, said: “I am extremely proud of the whole staff team, pupils, parents and the Learning Today Leading Tomorrow Trust for creating such a special place for children to learn and thrive in, academically, emotionally and socially.
“Throughout the report and conversations with the Ofsted Inspector, it was clear that he felt that Rugby Free Primary School has created a wonderful culture and community, where all members feel valued and appreciated. I feel very lucky to be able to lead such a dedicated staff team and welcoming school environment.”
Tom Legge, Chair of Trustees, said: “For a school that started life as an idea in a kitchen on Coton Park nearly a decade ago, it still amazes me to see the school that has developed from there. I’m delighted for Rebecca and the whole school community that Ofsted recognised what a special place Rugby Free Primary School is.”
