A FATAL crash in the early hours of Valentine’s Day has claimed the life of a Princethorpe man.

Sean Walsh, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene after apparently being hit by a Vauxhall Zafira while walking on the B4453 between the junction of Fosse Way and Hill Top Farm just after midnight on Saturday (February 14).

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 40s, was uninjured.

The family of the deceased asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.

Anyone with information on the collision can be given to police by calling PC Matt Davies of the Operational Patrol Unit in Rugby on 01788 853823, quoting incident 1 of Saturday February 14.
