A QUIRKY musician is bringing his unconventional act to Rugby for the first time this weekend.

Composer, musician and all-round entertainer Simeon Wood will perform Christmas and other music at Rugby Baptist Church in Regent Place on Sunday (December 11).

Simeon has appeared all over the world, including on Britain’s Got Talent, the One Show and the Chris Evans Breakfast Show.

A church spokesperson said: “The list of instruments Simeon plays continues to grow – Celtic whistles, panpipes, South American quena, Chinese flutes and the Ba-Hu, flutes of various sizes from the bass to the piccolo, and very occasionally the didgeridoo.

“Rest assured that some more unconventional objects like the walking stick and bicycle pump will also make a welcome appearance.

“It will be a fun evening not to be missed.”

The performance starts at 6:30pm. Visit https://tinyurl.com/ycxbu794 for tickets, which cost £8 each plus a booking fee. Under-16s can attend free.
