READY, set, go-ho-ho! The Lutterworth Rotary Charity Santa Fun Run returns this weekend.
Father Christmases will be dashing – although probably not through the snow – to raise money for the local Air Ambulance, Age Concern Lutterworth, Share and Care, HeartWise, Crohn’s and Colitis Charity and the Mayor’s Appeal.
The event, which has so far raised over £100,000 for charity over the last 12 years, takes place on Sunday (November 28), starting at Lutterworth College at 11am.
Participants will be led through warming up exercises before the run. Music will be provided before the start by Cross Counties Radio, and by the Lutterworth Town Band at the finish, where all runners will receive a medal.
Runners can choose between the usual 4km and 5.7km routes around the town.
Santa suits will be available from Max Electrical, Palmers of Ullesthorpe and Wild about Pets in Broughton Astley.
The entry fee is £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s, including a Santa suit, hat and beard.
