RESCUE dogs are waiting for a furry-tail ending.
Four dogs at Dogs Trust Kenilworth are still waiting to find homes – despite being the perfect house guests.
Woody, Bracken, Charlie and Henry are all in temporary foster care through the charity’s Home From Home scheme.
But despite capturing the hearts of their foster carers, they have yet to find a loving new owner.
The dogs include eight-year-old Collie cross Woody who, despite lacking in confidence, loves playing in the garden.
And eight-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Bracken who, despite having limited vision, is very sociable and enjoys a fuss – while 11-year-old crossbreed Charlie enjoys long walks topped off with a cuddle on the sofa.
Finally Henry – an eight-year-old Boxer cross Mastiff – enjoys a canine companion or two along with a comfy bed and plenty of fuss.
Sabrina Holder, from the Home from Home team said: “It really is a mystery as to why these four haven’t found their forever homes yet. They are all used to living in a home environment, are house trained, good with visitors and love their home comforts.
“Thousands of people have visited the centre since they have been in our care and despite lots of information about these four in our reception area, for some reason they have all been overlooked by potential adopters.
“They have all been in loving foster homes for several months and their foster carers have done a great job in helping them to settle in and bring out their true personalities to prove that they all would make the perfect companions in the right homes. Hopefully it won’t be too long before new families get in touch to offer them a permanent home.”
