GET your motor running! An influx of bikes, beards and leather brought the town centre to a standstill on Sunday (May 17) as thousands flocked to Rugby’s second annual Bikefest.
The free family festival proved a massive hit as visitors watched the easy riders roll into town, admired the many machines on display, and rocked out to an afternoon of live music acts, including Rugby bands Tan Trum, Morningstar, Go Primitive and White Men Can’t Funk.
Special guests include the Coventry Bees Speedway team riders and bikes and Dave Baughan, British Street Bike Champion in 1991 and six times winner of the Bulldog Bash.
New for this year, St. Andrew’s Church with the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Air Cadets ran a helmet park inside the church, where the Rector Rev Imogen Nay gave helmet and bike blessings.
