Road closed in Rugby as police investigate reported stabbing of man in 60s

A STABBING in Rugby has been reported to police.

Officers are currently at a house in Coton Road in Rugby after receiving reports a man in his 60s had stab wounds to his leg and groin area.

The man is being taken to hospital via air ambulance, although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A cordon is in place around Coton Road, which is currently closed.




The initial investigation is being supported by a helicopter from the National Police Air Service.

A 62 year-old man from Rugby is in custody after being arrested in connection with the incident.
