Robbers injured staff member during raid on petrol station

ROBBERS assaulted a staff member and stole cigarettes and alcohol from a petrol station in Rugby.

Two men went into a petrol station in Leicester Road at around 4.50am on Thursday (October 10).

A member of staff required hospital treatment for a head injury after being assaulted.

The suspects left in a black Mercedes along Leicester Road towards Newbold Road.




Det Con Beverley Ward from Rugby CID said: “A number of enquiries are currently ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious behaviour in the area to please come forward.”
