ALL hail to the ale! It’s all hands to the pumps as Rugby breweries headline the Rugby Campaign for Real Ale’s (CAMRA) annual beer festival this weekend.
The group’s 33rd Beer Festival opened today (Friday February 24) at a new home – the Arnold House, Masonic Hall in Elsee Road.
Organiser Steve Heighton said: “We have scoured the country to bring in an exciting range of over 30 new beers and breweries to Rugby.
“We also have all three local breweries – Atomic, Dow Bridge and Kendricks – who have all brewed special ales just for the festival, which is a real bonus to drinkers who like to support local businesses.
“We also have a grand debut for two draught local ciders from Winwick, both from local orchards.”
The festival is open from 2pm to 11pm on Friday (February 24) and 11am-11pm on Saturday (February 25), with live music on the Saturday evening. Visit www.rugby.camra.org.uk for more information.
