Rugby man charged in connection with alleged knife attack

A RUGBY man has been charged following an alleged knife attack.

Max Gall, 23, of Lodge Road, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been remanded until his trial and will appear at Warwick Crown Court on June 6.

It follows an incident on Sunday (May 5) during which a man was allegedly assaulted with a bladed weapon in Trussell Way before the offender reportedly made off from the scene.

The victim was reportedly taken to hospital by ambulance to treat their injuries.

Police said the alleged incident was isolated, and there was no wider risk to the public.
