A MAN has been jailed after attacking someone in a Rugby pub.
Philip Michael Darcy, of Borrowdale, Brownsover, appeared at Coventry Crown Court where he was sentenced to 43 weeks in prison. He was also given an additional week for failing to surrender to custody at an appointed time.
The 26-year-old attacked the victim in a town centre pub in 2017. The 27-year-old man sustained a broken jaw and cheek bone injuries.
Darcy pleaded not guilty to the offence but following a trial he was found guilty.
In addition to the sentencing, he had a Criminal Behaviour Order imposed banning him from town centre pubs, or any other pub which bars him in writing, until June 2024.
